Arc-en-ciel sur film en verre trempé : causes et correction du moiré

Photos of a smartphone or tablet sometimes show rainbow bands — especially with a tempered-glass screen protector. Searchers often call this a “glass film rainbow.” Part of it can be glare or coating interference; a large share is also display-grid moire between the OLED/LCD pixels and your camera sensor.
Why tempered glass makes rainbows worse
- Extra glass layers add reflections and polarization effects
- Anti-fingerprint coatings can create colorful fringes under flash or bright windows
- The phone’s sub-pixel grid still aliases against the camera — classic screen moire
What you can fix in-camera
- Change angle by 10–20° and step closer or farther
- Turn off the room lights that specular-highlight the film
- Slightly defocus so sub-pixels blend before they hit the sensor
Fix it after the shot
When reshooting is impossible, upload the still to the screen moire remover. AI targets periodic rainbow grids from the display. Pure specular glare on the glass may remain — that is a different problem than moire.
